Some of them are produced nearby the forest of gibbon’s habitat, this all fair trade, wildlife-friendly and sustainable, 100% profit goes to support fieldwork activities.

About this book :

This book is the 2025 activity report of swaraOwa, documenting our
work in Central Java and the Mentawai Islands for the conservation of two
endangered gibbon species: the Javan gibbon (Hylobates moloch) and the
Mentawai gibbon (Hylobates klossii).
In preparing this report, we sought to move away from the rigid format
of formal documentation. Instead, we present the stories of our fieldwork
and programs in a style that is more popular, approachable, and easy to
understand. The chapters are based on writings from the swaraOwa team,
volunteer researchers, and conservation activists, many of which were first
published on the swaraOwa website and blog.
This book is not only a compilation of field stories and activities carried
out throughout 2025, but also a living archive of ideas and reflections. It
serves as a reference for swaraOwa to develop future programs, while
at the same time capturing the dynamic thoughts of each contributor.
Through this process, our team continues to practice the art of narrating
conservation and scientific research in ways that can be shared with the
wider public.
